After an entire week of writing emails, making phone calls and running around town with posters I decided to take some time away from my little netbook yesterday. This post is very important though and had to be done as soon as possible.
THANK YOU to everyone who made it out in the rain this past Sunday night to support the contribution to Haiti. A very special thank you to the owners of each of the restaurants that participated as well as to their chefs and staff.
I know you are all eager to know how much we were able to raise - me too! I've reached out to each restaurant sending them my personal thanks. I also asked them to share the results of Sunday night. As I was following up with everyone I couldn't help but think about Matt Damon. Do you know what I'm talking about? :)
I most definitely will not be getting Jason Bourne on anyone - only Matt Damon can pull that off! Although, rumor is that Jason Bourne is no stranger to the kitchen.

Soon I hope to have the sum total that we raised as well as the list of organizations that will be benefiting from these donations so that they can continue to help the people of Haiti. A few of the restaurants have already responded and I'm waiting on the rest.
Please take note of my previous post. Dine Out Seattle for Haiti has been extended just a bit. TASTE is participating this Wednesday night - yes, that's right that's tomorrow night. Please get out there and enjoy one more great meal!
